PowerSchool is the best way for you and your student to access and monitor grades daily. We encourage students and families to check PowerSchool regularly so there are no surprises and missing assignments can be addressed quickly.
If you or your student needs assistance accessing PowerSchool, please let us know. We are happy to help! 💻🐾
Beginning August 31, Lexington Two will implement scheduled limits on student Chromebook functionality for middle school students. During designated evening and weekend hours, district-managed Chromebooks will have limited functionality and will not be available for routine student use. The change is intended to help establish clearer boundaries around school-related technology use outside the school day. The schedule will be:
Monday-Thursday: Chromebook functionality will be suspended from 10 p.m.-6:30 a.m.
Friday-Sunday: Chromebook functionality will be suspended from 8 p.m.-9 a.m.
Read the full letter here, with details.

Athletics are in action next week! Mark your calendars.
Volleyball takes on William J. Clark at home on September 1 at 6:00 PM.
Our C-Team Football team will compete in the Jamboree at Orangeburg Wilkinson High School on September 5 at 10:00 AM.
Tickets for Lexington Two events can be purchased through GOFAN.
Come out and support our Bulldogs!

Families, if you see NHI in PowerSchool, it means Not Handed In. This indicates that the assignment has not been submitted. Assignments marked NHI are entered as a zero in the gradebook and will impact a student’s grade.
We encourage families to check PowerSchool regularly and talk with students about any missing assignments.
Need help logging into PowerSchool? Call us at (803) 739-4070.

Lexington Two uses the I Love U Guys Standard Response Protocols for security and medical events. :Families received an email from the district in early August explaining these protocols. However, you don't need much time to get the overview -- watch this video of students titled: "5 Minutes, 5 Actions: The Standard Response Protocol (SRP)" in English language and Spanish language.

Middle school students attending Brookland-Cayce High School football games must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Also, due to our Early Release Day on Wednesday, August 26:
There will be NO shuttle bus to BC High School.
There will be NO practice at BC High School.
Please make transportation arrangements accordingly, and thank you for helping us keep our students safe and informed!
#BusbeeBulldogs #RockingExcellence
Please make sure your Bulldog has transportation arrangements in place for the earlier dismissal.
Thanks for helping us keep the day running smoothly as we continue #RockingExcellence at Busbee!

Tonight, we’re celebrating our Teacher of the Year, Ms. Wesley, and Staff Member of the Year, Ms. Peeples, at the Lex2 Board Meeting!
We are so proud of these two outstanding members of our Busbee family and incredibly grateful for the hard work, dedication, and care they bring to our school each day. The way they support our students, encourage their growth, and help make Busbee such a special place truly represents Rocking Excellence.
Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition! We are proud to have you representing Busbee!

Students recently completed MAP Reading and MAP Math and set individual growth goals based on their Spring 2026 scores. We are excited to share that we saw lots of growth across our classrooms!
Be sure to ask your student about their MAP scores, the goals they set, and the progress they made. We are proud to see our students taking ownership of their learning, celebrating their growth, and continuing to push themselves toward their next goal.
Keep growing. Keep glowing. Keep Rocking Excellence!
Busbee families, please note that our School Improvement Council (SIC) Meeting has been moved to:
Wednesday, August 26 at 5:00 PM
We would love to have parents and families join us as we work together to support Busbee and continue Rocking Excellence for our students.
Please update your calendar, and we hope to see you there!

Student Council is hard at work on the campaign trail! Candidates are creating posters, sharing their ideas, and getting ready for election day.
This is what student voice and leadership look like at Busbee—students getting involved, sharing ideas, and helping make their school even better. Just one more way we’re living out Schools to Watch, being Champions for Children, and making Busbee a Destination School.
