School Meals (Breakfast & Lunch)
**2022-2023 School Meals Update**
The USDA Pandemic nutrition waivers, that allow all students to eat for free, regardless of their income eligibility, will expire at the end of the 2021-2022 school year.
Beginning July 1, 2022, all students participating in the child nutrition program, when school starts August 15, 2022, will be charged based on their eligibility status. (Meals will be free over the summer under the Summer Food Service Program, more information to come on this).
The new Free and Reduced Application for the 2022-2023 school year will be available online July 5, 2022. https://paypams.com/OnlineApp.aspx .
It is important to know that all Parents/Guardians complete the application, before school starts, to see if the student(s) are eligible to receive Free or Reduced priced meals and to avoid any charges. Parents/Guardians are responsible for any charges incurred until an application is approved for Free or Reduced Meals. A student's eligibility status is not retroactive.
A new application is required to be submitted every school year. The Federal Government changes the income guidelines annually, determining one's eligibility status. So just because you were free last year, does not mean that you will be free the next year. A new application must be submitted to determine whether or not you qualify.
