About Me
Hello! My name is Mrs. Shake. I have been a school librarian since 2016 at Springdale Elementary here in Lexington 2 and am excited to continue my journey serving Lex2 students and families here at Busbee. I obtained my MLIS in the spring of 2016 at USC in Columbia. While obtaining my Master's, I worked part time at both the Richland Library Main branch and the historic South Caroliniana library located on the Horseshoe. I've resided in the Columbia area ever since first attending USC in 2008 to achieve my undergraduate degree in Political Science with a minor in Mandarin Chinese. In my spare time I enjoy reading, kickboxing, cooking, watching TV with my husband and taking walks with our Beagle, Harper. I cannot wait to get to know all the students and staff of Busbee Academy and look forward to a successful school year.
