Assistant Principal

Welcome to The Academy! 

 

I am excited and honored to be named the Assistant Principal of Busbee Creative Arts Academy. This will be my 8th year in education, and it is my 5th year at The Academy. Previously, I was the administrative assistant and taught two 8th grade ELA classes. Prior to coming to The Academy in 2019, I taught high school English for 3 years in Orangeburg County. At The Academy, I also serve as the ELA department chair, and I am a Jr. Beta Club sponsor. I have a bachelor's degree from Clemson University with a double major in English and Secondary Education. I have a master's degree from Claflin University in Curriculum and Instruction and a master's degree from Columbia College in Educational Administration and Leadership. I am middle level certified, gifted and talented endorsed, and a Google Level 1 Certified Educator. 

 

My husband and I have a 3 year old son, a 1 year old daughter, and a Cockapoo. 

I am looking forward to serving our students and their families, as well as the teachers and staff, at The Academy.
