Principal's Message

 

Monday we have a basketball against Pine Ridge Middle School beginning at 5:30 pm. Students who attend must have a ride waiting to pick up by 7:45 pm.

 

Tuesday morning will be very cold! Our student council will sell hot chocolate beginning at 7:30 am until our morning announcements begin. Hot chocolate will be 50 cents per cup.

 

Wednesday we will have our first Parent University. Parents will have the opportunity to voice how teachers can better assist them in communicating specific needs and targeting areas of improvement. Our teachers will share how parents can better support their classroom efforts by emphasizing expectations reinforcing what is being taught in the classroom. There will be door prizes! The session will be in our media center beginning at 8:00 am.

 

Thursday we will have our Winter Concert featuring our Strings, Band, and Choral students. The program will begin at 6:30 pm in the cafetorium. All students participating will need to stay after school. Students who plan to eat pizza before the performance need to bring $2 by Wednesday.

 

The Archery team will have practice Wednesday and Friday from 5:30-7:30 pm. They will compete for the first time this year at the Hurricane Christmas Tournament in Taylors, SC this Saturday. We wish them lots of luck!

 

Attendance is always important, however, this week our students will be taking several benchmark assessments so teachers can monitor the learning so far this school year. Please remind your child to take these assessments seriously and to do their best.
