Welcome to 8th Grade ELA and English I! I am SO excited to dive into literature together this year.  I just know that we are going to have an amazing year together.  On the right there are links to the course syllabus for both ELA 8 and English I.  The course syllabus includes information on different class policies and expectations.   

Retake Policy:

• Students have the opportunity to re-take any assignment of their choice up to three (3) per quarter.
• Students must complete the retake form and have a parent sign and return the form three (3) DAYS after receiving the grade. 
• The original assignment must be turned in with the form (if the test/assignment is digital, the test/assignment will need to be printed. 
• At the teacher’s discretion, additional work and/or remediation should be noted on the Retake form.
• The Retake must be completed within one week of turning in the form.
