Assistant Principal

Welcome to The Academy! 

 

I am excited and honored to be an Assistant Principal at Busbee Creative Arts Academy. This will be my 9th year in education, and it is my 6th year at The Academy. Previously, I was the administrative assistant and ELA teacher. Prior to coming to The Academy in 2019, I taught high school English for 3 years in Orangeburg County. I have a bachelor's degree from Clemson University with a double major in English and Secondary Education. I have a master's degree from Claflin University in Curriculum and Instruction and a master's degree from Columbia College in Educational Administration and Leadership. I am middle level certified, gifted and talented endorsed, and a Google Level 1 Certified Educator. I am on the Palmetto State Literacy Association (PSLA) Board of Directors as the Midlands Representative. 

 

My husband and I have a 4 year old son, a soon to be 2 year old daughter, and a Cockapoo. 

I am looking forward to serving our students and their families, as well as the teachers and staff, at The Academy.
