WEST COLUMBIA, S.C. -- Forty-eight Lexington Two students are being honored as 2021-2022 Myrdis Walker Scholars.
The district program, established in 1990, recognizes African-American students in eighth through 12th grades who have demonstrated academic excellence. It is named for Myrdis Walker, who taught for many years at the former R. Earle Davis Elementary School in Lexington Two.
This year’s inductees from the district's two high schools and four middle schools include the following Busbee students: Trennen Adams-Sutton, Stevie Bennermann, Janasia Blackmon, Lydia Buhl, Meah Etheredge, Mason Fields, Shaylynn Hill, Tiffani Liggie, Nicholas Oliver, Brysaun Pralour, and Stanley Thomas.
An induction ceremony was held March 29 at the Lexington Two Innovation Center.
