Rhythm Performance: 1/21/21

Good morning everybody. We are going take a little time outside of class to help you continue to learn. Often when we cannot get to our instruments we have to be very creative about how we can practice. This usually results in us practicing in a few ways. They are as follows:

2. Listening to the music we will perform.
3. Clapping and counting rhythms.
Today we will get started on option 3. Clapping and counting rhythms. You will do the following:
1. Open the EEiBandRhtyhm chart below.
2. Observe the time signature.
3. Take notes on how to perform and write in the counts in class.
4. Make a video of yourself clapping and counting Lines A and B
5. Make sure there is a metronome playing along with you to help you keep the steady beat.
6. Clap and count out loud during your video.

Then on each of the six staves, please draw one treble clef.
In total you will need 6 treble clefs. Once you have done this please submit a picture to Google Classroom to earn your credit.

I know in our previous video I talked about having two strings mapped and that was E and A. I'm changing that slightly here just to make things a bit more manageable.
1. Complete el check-in matutino.

Making Your Own Guitar to Practice With 10/16/20 (A Day) and 10/19/20 (B Day)

Good morning everybody. I apologize for the delay on this but I was truly stuck. Now I am not stuck so we are off and rolling. Anyway, I have been thinking long and hard about how to help you practice when I am not able to send guitars home with you to practice on. Please take a few minutes to view my video and then do the following:
1. Make your own guitar fretboard out of either a paper towel roll or a small rectangular piece of wood that is about the same size as the neck of your guitar.
2. Draw a nut and lines to represent the strings on the guitar.
3. Draw the frets in just like I showed you how to do on the video.
4. Draw in the letter names above each, "string".
5. Make a video of yourself fingering and naming the notes on each string out loud just I did later in the video. (Fast forward to about minute 4 and that should get you close.)
6. Complete the morning check-in.
7. Be awesome this weekend!

Take a few moments to look up the names of the strings online. Then when you have finished type your answer using the Google Form.
Make sure that your answer goes in order from the lowest sounding string to the highest sounding string. Another way to think about it is the note names of the strings from the thickest to the thinnest.
