Welcome to my class page!
My name is Lauren Letellier-Hennessy and I teach 6th grade Math here at The Academy.
I have been teaching for seven years and this is my sixth year teaching at Busbee. I am originally from Minnesota, but have been living in the Carolina's for the past 18 years. I graduated from Winthrop University in the Spring of 2017 with my Bachelors Degree in Middle Level Education with concentrations in math and science.
In my spare time I enjoy working out, traveling, and spending time with my dogs Cooper and Aspen!
Power School
Powerschool is where grades will be posted for students. These grades will be updated weekly. This is a good way to keep track of what your child has turned in, is missing, or hasn't finished yet. Parents, once you sign in to Powerschool you can set to get notifications/reminders sent to you to keep up to date on your students grades!

Busbee Retake Policy
Here at Busbee students are allowed to redo 3 assignments per quarter. These can be any assignment given (tests, quizzes, homework, classwork, ect.) during the quarter. In order for students to be eligible to redo an assignment they must complete the redo form (on paper), get it signed by their parent/guardian, and return it to their teacher 3 days after the grade is posted in powerschool. Students must also submit the original test (if on paper) with the retake form. Once the form is submitted students have one week to complete the redo assignment.
Google Classroom Codes
Google classroom is where students will access their daily assignments whether they are at school or at home. Assignments will be posted by 8am everyday! Below are the math codes for the students to access their work.
