Summer Reading
“When it comes to summer, reading may not be the first thing—or even in the top ten things—kids have in mind! But reading can be the ideal summer activity. It’s fun, portable, can involve the whole family, and will help your child academically.”--National Education Association.
This summer, The Academy would like to encourage all students to READ!! No test, no quizzes, just plain ‘ole reading for fun! We encourage all scholars to complete the BINGO card and return it with a parent/guardian signature during the first week of the new school year or send a picture of your reading your book in your favorite place this summer to Mrs. Fisher ([email protected]) for prizes.
All students who complete the bingo card or send a picture will be invited to the Summer Reading Dessert Celebration when we return to school.
